At Lend a Hand Uganda, we believe in giving children more than just immediate support—we aim to build long-term sustainability for our communities.

What It Is: The Poultry Project raise healthy chickens in a fully managed coop on the farm. This creates a reliable source of eggs and protein for the children in our care, ensuring they have the nutrition they need to grow strong, stay healthy, and thrive at school.

Sustainability in Action: By producing our own eggs, the project also reduces the farm’s dependence on outside food sources. Chickens can multiply quickly, providing ongoing food and farm income. Surplus eggs can be sold locally, generating funds to support other programs, from education to healthcare.
